In 2019, Women and Fiction started releasing writing prompts every 15th of the month. Send us what you come up with and we'll post it to the website with links to you! :) Here's a list of what's been released so far:
The idea is to practice writing about what it's like to be a woman. This is something that Judy Blume does particularly well. Judy takes a fearless look at being female. This prompt is an opportunity for you to follow in her courageous footsteps.
Stock photos seem to always put the oddest collection of people together in a photo. The idea of this prompt was to look at the photo and write a scene about these women. How did these six woman get into this photo? Who are they?
You are standing on a corner in Winslow, AZ. A man gawking at a woman in a truck. You are just an observer--an ant, cat, corner itself, statue, ghost--your choice. What do you see? What's happening here? Write a short scene.
We took July off writing Prompts!
